Stitch Sleigh Ride, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a team of horses races a sleigh full of passengers across the snowy plain as others follow behind.

A little stitcher's folklore: Alfred Wierusz-Kowalski spent most of his career in Munich but kept painting the winter roads of his native Poland.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Alfred Wierusz-Kowalski's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 27 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 50×70 cm (19.7×27.6 in). A lively winter art piece for a horse lover.
