Stitch Amazon, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a lady in a red riding habit sits side-saddle on a pale horse as a greyhound trots beside her.

A little stitcher's folklore: Alfred de Dreux was a French painter famous for his elegant horses and riders.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Alfred de Dreux's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 18 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 40×50 cm (15.7×19.7 in). A classic art piece for a horse lover.
