Stitch A Riding Tour in the Snow, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — an evening scene glows with warm lamplight along an avenue of bare winter trees.

A little stitcher's folklore: lamplit evening scenes were a favourite of painters for the way the light reflects on wet or snowy ground.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Gerda Wagener's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 18 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 40×40 cm (15.7×15.7 in). A romantic art piece for a living room.
