Stitch The Owls Family, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a parent owl and two fluffy owlets with round golden eyes perch together on a branch among glowing orange autumn leaves.

A little stitcher's folklore: the owl is the bird of wisdom, and a family of owls on a branch was said to watch over a household and keep it safe at night.

Why this kit: a warm, cosy autumn design with 50 colours, on Aida with a printed grid that makes counting easier.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 50 colours, 2 needles, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the owls' eyes and beaks, then the soft feathers, and finish with the branch and autumn leaves using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 27×29 cm (10.6×11.4 in). A cosy autumn picture for the living room and a lovely family gift.
