Bead The Murmuring Sea, a bead embroidery kit by Abris Art — a dramatic cresting wave with curling white foam, inspired by the famous Japanese woodblock print, rolls across a deep blue sea beneath a blazing orange sunset and fiery clouds. Worked with over 11,390 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 13 colours.

A little stitcher's folklore: sailors believed the sea returns what it takes, and the seventh wave was said to be the luckiest. Stitchers say a great wave on the wall brings energy, courage and a fresh start.

Why this kit: if you love the ocean and classic Japanese art, this wave is powerful and full of movement. A large, rewarding project for confident beginners and experienced beaders, and a striking gift for surfers and sea lovers.

Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with the design, over 11,390 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 13 colours, a Japanese beading needle, a numbered key chart, and instructions in 8 languages. Beading thread, frame and hoop are not included.

Each bead is sewn onto its colour-marked spot on the printed canvas. Bead the wave crests and foam first, then the sea and sunset sky.
