Bead a soft pastel cuff with Morning Tenderness, a bead embroidery bracelet kit by Abris Art — an hourglass-shaped band of delicate turquoise, lilac and pink ornamental medallions, fresh as a spring morning. Worked in 15 colours of Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads.

A little stitcher's folklore: the soft colours of dawn were once believed to bring a gentle, lucky day, and circles and medallions have long been worn at the wrist as protective charms. Stitchers say a bracelet beaded in morning colours keeps every day starting softly.

Why this kit: if you love delicate, romantic jewellery, this pastel cuff is lovely for weddings, garden parties or everyday. It's a satisfying project for beaders with a little experience. A beautiful bridesmaid or birthday gift.

Kit includes: art canvas with the full-colour design printed on it, about 1,437 Preciosa Czech glass beads in 15 colours, Preciosa No. 13 microbeads in 3 colours, larger Preciosa No. 5 beads in 1 colour, beading needles and a microbead needle, beading thread, decorative glass stones and accents (rondelles, leaf stones, drops, bicones and pearls), bracelet findings (2 end clamps, a hook, 2 rings and an extension chain), and step-by-step illustrated instructions for the embroidery and finishing.

Each bead is sewn onto its colour-marked spot on the printed canvas. Then add the glass stones, cut the band out along the outline and attach the clamps, hook and chain from the kit to finish the cuff, following the illustrated instructions.

Finished size: 15.6×5.2 cm (6.14×2.05 in). A delicate handmade bracelet and a thoughtful gift.
