Worked with over 3,110 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 13 colours, plus decorative sequins.

A little stitcher's folklore: in ancient Egypt the scarab was a sacred amulet of the rising sun, rebirth and protection, worn for good fortune. Stitchers say a beaded scarab guards the home and brings new beginnings.

Why this kit: if you love unusual, jewel-like designs, this beetle is a real showpiece — its metallic greens shine like a gemstone. A satisfying project for beginners and experienced beaders, and a great gift for nature and history lovers.

Kit includes: natural art canvas pre-printed with the design, over 3,110 Preciosa Ornela Czech glass beads in 13 colours, decorative sequins, Japanese beading needles, beading thread, and instructions with a printed colour key. Frame not included.

Each bead is sewn onto its colour-marked spot on the printed canvas. Bead the scarab's shell first, then the wings, legs and leaf frame.

Finished size: 20×20 cm (7.87×7.87 in). Jewel-like wall art and a distinctive gift.

    I ordered 4 by mistake due to Etsy processing error. The system kept saying the order didn't go through. So I placed the order again until it showed as successful. They were each separate. The vendor only waited 2 days and sent them all, taking my money. Then kept it all until I received and returned them. Anyone could figure out that if I had wanted 4 I would have ordered them together.
