Stitch Sea and Beach, a counted cross stitch kit by Orchidea — a round glass jar holding a sandy path through the dunes down to the sea, with a shell and a starfish on the lid.

A little stitcher's folklore: starfish have no brain and can regrow lost arms.

Why this kit: a counted design on quality aida with pre-sorted floss, sized to frame as a small picture.

Kit includes: ecru aida, DMC 6-strand cotton floss in 23 colours, a chart, instructions and a needle. Stitch used: cross stitch. A frame is not included.

Find the centre of the aida and the chart, then stitch the design outwards one colour at a time.

Finished size: 17×19 cm (6.7×7.5 in). A lovely keepsake of a seaside holiday.
