Felt Zambezi with this Charivna Mit needle felting kit — a black-and-white striped zebra standing alert on slender legs, with a short dark mane and a tufted tail.

Why this canvas: the printed design gives stitchers a clear visual guide; the canvas-only format lets crafters choose their preferred thread palette; the finished project works well as decorative handmade wall art.

Kit includes: instructions, color scheme, New Zealand Ashford wool in 2 colors, Preciosa Ornela beads (Czech Republic) in 1 color, chenille wire, and felting tips (2 pieces). Made in Ukraine.

Half-stitch needlepoint is worked directly on the printed canvas, following the color areas and building the design with diagonal stitches until the full motif is covered.

    This was bought as a gift, so will have to send a follow up once the Zebra has been made! but I have had 0 issues with customer service, shipping or delivery.

    The original directions were in Russian but they did include a translation- but it didn't explain well at all how to make the item! I had to look at a bunch of online videos, but they were for different projects, so in the end I had to muddle along myself. It's marketed as easy, so I thought it would come with actual instructions how to needle felt. Also the quality of the materials wasn't great- there were little twig like things mixed in with the wool and the wool didn't felt easily. I've gotten an inexpensive felting kit once before and that one was a lot better in terms of quality and instruction (I just really wanted to make a zebra!)
