Felt a Friendly family with this Charivna Mit needle felting kit — a speckled brown mother duck with a red bill and a blue-and-white wing stripe, resting beside three fuzzy yellow ducklings huddled close by her side.

Why this kit: the felt pieces create a soft dimensional finish; the templates and stitch guide make the project approachable; the finished ornament or hoop art is easy to display or give as a handmade gift.

Kit includes: color pattern, instruction chart, Corriedale wool in 11 colors, 2 felting needles, and a pipe cleaner. Made in Ukraine.

Needle felting is worked by layering small tufts of wool and repeatedly poking them with a barbed felting needle, which tangles the fibers together and gradually compacts and shapes them into a firm 3D form. Work section by section — the mother duck's body, head, and wing markings, then each duckling in turn — following the included instructions, using the pipe cleaner to reinforce the pose before finishing the fine feather details.

Finished size: 12 x 17 cm (4.72 x 6.69 in). A rewarding multi-figure project and a charming handmade gift or shelf display for anyone who loves birds or farmyard animals.

    English instructions are vague! They did not include all the things you would need in this kit! I am thankful that I recieved another kit with everything needed to accomplish, and hoping I am able to to convey needed knowledge to doing this kit?

    Very nice beginner's needle felted kit for Duck with little ducklings. Good quality of wool for needle felting. Instructions are complete, too. Shipment was fast.

    The wool and needles are good. The instructions are complete but terse- like a sewing pattern (but not to scale); definitely not a tutorial. Not recommended for beginners.
