Musketeer Christmas Wooden Nutcracker 12 in by Wizardi F07M14-40-N01012B

Call the guard to attention with the Musketeer, a wooden Christmas nutcracker by Wizardi — a dashing soldier in a tall red top hat with a gold flower medallion and a green gem, a red-and-green uniform painted with a gold lattice across the chest, and a fluffy white beard under a curled moustache. He holds a long black musket at his side, with green trousers and black boots trimmed in gold diamonds on a red base.

A little collector's folklore: musketeers swore to stand one for all and all for one, and collectors say a musketeer on the shelf keeps the whole nutcracker family together through the season. If one of the others goes missing in the decorations box, he is the one who finds them.

Why this nutcracker: if you love a traditional red-and-green Christmas, he has the classic soldier look with a little extra swagger from the jewelled hat and musket. His size fits a mantel line-up or a bookshelf, and he is an easy, affordable way to add another character to a growing collection.

In the box: one Musketeer nutcracker in painted wood with a white faux-fur beard and a gem accent on the hat, packed in a red gift box with a window. A decorative nutcracker, not intended for cracking nuts. Ready to display, no assembly needed.

Line him up with the rest of his regiment — the swordsman (F07M14-40-N01012A), the staffbearer (F07M14-40-N01012C) and the drummer (F07M14-40-N01012D) — or stand him by the tree among red and gold ornaments. Dust with a soft, dry brush and keep away from moisture and heat. A decoration, not a toy.

Size: 30 cm tall (11.8 in). Classic Christmas mantel and shelf decor, and a festive gift for nutcracker collectors and history lovers.
