This Seg De Paris printed tapestry canvas presents a majestic lion's head in profile, its full mane rendered in warm golden and amber tones, set against a stylized African savanna of acacia trees and a setting sun.

Why this canvas: the extra-large format lets the fine texture of the mane and facial fur come through clearly on the canvas grid; the warm gold, amber, and brown palette works as a strong focal piece in living rooms or studies; being one of the largest designs in the collection, it gives dedicated stitchers a substantial long-term project.

Canvas includes: premium Zweigart 10ct, 100% cotton canvas (40 holes/10 cm) worked in half cross stitch, with a full DMC thread reference list detailing every color needed across Mouliné, Colbert Wool, Retors Cotton, and Pearl Cotton thread ranges. Thread, needle, and finishing materials are not included and must be purchased separately.

The lion's portrait is already printed on the canvas as a color guide, so the stitcher works a single diagonal half-cross stitch over each printed square in the shade indicated, using the DMC list to build up the layered golds, ambers, and browns of the mane and savanna.

Canvas size: 75 x 90 cm (29.53 x 35.43 in). This statement-sized canvas suits a large wall piece, bench cover, or fireside stool topper where the lion's presence can command a room.
