Why this blank: Pre-perforated wooden blank with a printed scheme included — the hard work of pattern-transfer is already done; Assembly thread and needle included so the finished piece can be put together immediately after embroidery; The wooden base creates a functional finished result — suitable as a decorative display piece or a craft accessory organizer.

Kit includes: wooden perforated blanks of the front and back; thread and needle for stitching parts; instructions and patterns for embroidery.

Thread embroidery on the wooden blank follows the same process as canvas embroidery — floss passes through the pre-punched holes following the printed pattern. Assembly hardware and needle are included to connect front and back after stitching.

Finished size: 14*17 cm/5.51*6.69 in. Floss not included. The finished piece works as a decorative object or a functional organizer for craft tools — a versatile project with a solid wooden result.

    Haven't begun the owl yet because I got several and started a different one first. But looks great! Didn't come with the thread needed but I have so much, that's not a concern. The other one (moth) I got did come with thread.

    This kit looks well made and the wood is sturdy. I like that a second wooden backing is included to hide the back of your stitching. The kit includes a special thread to sew the two wooden parts together. I did not notice that no floss was included, but the Anchor and DMC numbers are included and they are easy brands to find. My fault for not reading the description more carefully.
