Stitch Cat's Dream, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a little striped tabby kitten curls up fast asleep on a stack of old orange and brown books, its tail wrapped around its paws. Worked in 19 colours of DMC stranded cotton on white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a cat sleeping on your books was once said to guard the wisdom inside them — and anyone who reads with a cat nearby will never have a bad dream. Stitchers say this kitten is dreaming a very good story.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 19 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the kitten's closed eyes and stripes, then fill the fur. Finish with the stack of books and their worn spines.

Finished size: 19.5×16.5 cm (7.68×6.5 in). A cosy reading-nook picture to frame and a lovely gift for book and cat lovers.

    Item came as described and the thread is great quality DMC cotton. Customer service was great when I had questions, they went directly to the manufacturer and got back to me pretty quick. \n\nThe only downside of the kit is that it doesn't come with the DMC number for the threads, so if you like organizing your threads in a certain way, keep that in mind.\n\nI can understand that the manufacturer doesn't want people replicating a kit, but it can be a little rough as a new stitcher. The manufacturer says they give 20% more threads than needed so you shouldn't run out. \n\n\nSo far I'm really enjoying my new kit and plan to have a sleeping kitty on books in my bookshelf soon :)
