Create Fragrant irises with this Charivna Mit needle felting kit — three iris blooms in blushing pink, magenta, and warm orange, their petals outlined in fine white thread against a soft wash of blue and violet wool with felted green leaves below.

Why this canvas: the printed design gives stitchers a clear visual guide; the canvas-only format lets crafters choose their preferred thread palette; the finished project works well as decorative handmade wall art.

Kit includes: instruction chart, color pattern, felt base with a printed picture outline, wool in 14 colors, Bestex mouline in 1 color, and needles for felting and for stitching. Made in Ukraine.

Half-stitch needlepoint is worked directly on the printed canvas, following the color areas and building the design with diagonal stitches until the full motif is covered.

Finished size: 28 x 19 cm (11.02 x 7.48 in). Unlike Charivna Mit's sculpted animal kits, this piece is a flat wool painting meant to be framed and hung, making a soft, painterly wall-art project for a floral or fiber-art enthusiast.

    Instructions are vague, needles aren't labeled, fibers seem very fine and quite short. I've felted 3d a bit, got this to try 2d but it just isn't coming together well so far. Could be a skill issue for sure, but the included needles appear to be too coarse to get a fine finish. Have had better luck using needles from a different kit I used previously that is thinner gauge. Has many of the same issues as a paint by number, only with fibers instead of paint. It is as described and arrived on time. I'm gonna finish it and will def learn from the project.
