Blue Crystal Cymbidium Mini Crystal Building Block Flower Kit by Wizardi F07M9-10(103)-I1

Build a blue crystal cymbidium, a mini crystal building block flower kit by Wizardi: two orchid blooms with translucent sky-blue petals and soft pink-and-yellow lips open on an arching green stem, curly tendrils spiral at the tips, and tiny red mushrooms and pebbles fill the white planter.

A little builder's folklore: in old Chinese gardens the cymbidium was the scholar's flower, kept on the desk to bring calm and clear thinking.

Why this kit: if you love orchids and things that sparkle, the clear blue petals glow when the sun shines through them.

In the box: ABS building bricks including translucent crystal-effect petals, bricks for the stems, leaves, tiny mushrooms and the white planter, and an illustrated step-by-step instruction booklet. Not included: glue or tools, because none are needed.

How to build and display: press the bricks together by hand following the numbered steps, starting with the planter and its little garden of mushrooms and pebbles, then the stem, leaves and the clear petals. Put it on a sunny windowsill and the crystal petals catch the light; it never needs watering.

Size: boxed in 14 x 4.2 x 19.5 cm (5.5 x 1.7 x 7.7 in), the finished flower fits in a palm-sized planter. A pretty little desk gift, a party favour or a stocking stuffer, and a relaxing evening build for adults and teens. Recommended for ages 14 and up; small parts, keep away from young children.
