Build a white noon flower, a mini building block flower kit by Wizardi: a round white bloom with layered petals opens around a golden orange centre, set on a green stem with long leaves above a white planter with tiny grass and flowers.

A little builder's folklore: the noon flower opens only when the midday sun is high, so gardeners say it brings brightness to the middle of every day.

Why this kit: if you want a fresh, sunny desk flower, this white and gold bloom is simple and cheerful.

In the box: ABS building bricks for the flower, stem, leaves, tiny garden details and the white planter, and an illustrated instruction booklet. Not included: glue or tools, because none are needed.

How to build and display: press the bricks together by hand following the numbered steps, starting with the planter and its little garden of pebbles and tiny flowers, then the stem, leaves and the bloom. Collect the series and line them up on a windowsill or shelf; they never need watering.

Size: about 8 x 8 x 15 cm (3 x 3 x 6 in). 150 pieces. A cheerful little desk gift, a party favour or a stocking stuffer, and a relaxing build you can finish in an evening. Recommended for ages 14 and up; small parts, keep away from young children.
