Crimson Sky Command Post DIY Book Nook Kit 9 in by Wizardi F07M5-52-ST02

A dramatic two-level sci-fi diorama under a crimson sky: upstairs a uniformed officer stands before a saluting honour guard beneath banners and twin cannons in red and gold, and below, a cluttered study holds a desk, papers and a standing figure on a movable plate, while a rotating back mechanism turns glowing suns across the window and a switchable screen changes the scene. The cover is printed with bold script and a glowing crest.

A little crafter's folklore: sky watchers say when the suns line up, the whole world holds its breath, and miniaturists like to turn the suns into place before switching the light on.

Why this kit: if you love epic sci-fi, this nook has the most theatrical scene of the trilogy, with rotating and switchable mechanisms and a fiery glow.

In the box: laser-cut wooden sheets for the book nook case and the multi-level scene, printed figures, signs and side-panel artwork, tiny props, an LED light with a touch switch and battery box, and an illustrated instruction manual. Not included: batteries, glue and small tools such as tweezers.

Part of the Wizardi storybook book nook series in the same tall upright case, made to stand between your books like a lit volume of its own, so shops, homes and fantasy rooms line up on one shelf. Build tip: build the scene floor by floor from the bottom up, route the light wire as you go and test the touch switch before closing the side panels, then add the roof details last. Part of a three-piece sci-fi book nook trilogy, the Starship Engine Room, Crimson Sky Command Post and Radar Ridge Base, each with its own moving mechanism.

Size: 11 x 18 x 23 cm (4.3 x 7.1 x 9.1 in). A statement bookshelf insert that glows between your books at night, and a memorable gift for readers. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
