Stitch Castle on the Water, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a red castle with a stepped gable rises from a rock island, mirrored in a calm pond among green trees.

A little stitcher's folklore: Červená Lhota in Bohemia takes its name from its bright red walls, reflected in the pond around it.

Why this canvas: you choose the thread, so you can work it in tapestry wool for a traditional look or in cotton floss for a finer finish.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 27 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 40×50 cm (15.7×19.7 in). A classic landscape for a history lover.
