Stitch Spring Road, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a path winds past blossoming trees towards a thatched cottage on a sunny spring day.

A little stitcher's folklore: hawthorn blossom is called may, and country folk would not bring it indoors for fear of bad luck.

Why this canvas: you choose the thread, so you can work it in tapestry wool for a traditional look or in cotton floss for a finer finish.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 25 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 24×30 cm (9.4×11.8 in). A fresh spring scene for any room.
