Stitch Summer in the Mountains, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a snowy mountain peak is mirrored in a still blue lake, with yellow wild flowers along the shore.

A little stitcher's folklore: Morskie Oko, a lake in Poland's Tatra Mountains, is famous for its mirror-like reflections of the peaks.

Why this canvas: it comes from Orchidea, the Polish needlework maker founded in 1985 and known for its classic tapestry designs.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 21 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.
