Stitch Grassland, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — cows graze in a green meadow in front of a red-roofed farmhouse and rolling hills.

A little stitcher's folklore: cows can see almost all the way around them while they graze.

Why this canvas: you choose the thread, so you can work it in tapestry wool for a traditional look or in cotton floss for a finer finish.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 21 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 18×24 cm (7.1×9.4 in). A peaceful country scene for a kitchen.
