Stitch Large Cottage by a River, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a large thatched cottage stands among green trees beside a river, with steps down to the water and ducks swimming.

A little stitcher's folklore: thatchers often cut their reed from the wetlands and rivers close to home.

Why this canvas: the full-colour print shows exactly where each shade goes, so there is no chart to count and you can simply relax and stitch.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 28 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 40×50 cm (15.7×19.7 in). A peaceful country scene for a living room.
