Stitch Cavalier, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a Cavalier King Charles spaniel with long chestnut ears gazes sideways against a soft blue background.

A little stitcher's folklore: the breed is named after King Charles II, who was rarely seen without his little spaniels.

Why this canvas: the full-colour print shows exactly where each shade goes, so there is no chart to count and you can simply relax and stitch.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 10 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 15×15 cm (5.9×5.9 in). A gentle gift for a spaniel lover.
