Stitch Heiligenblut, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a church spire rises above an Alpine village, with green meadows and snowy mountains behind.

A little stitcher's folklore: the spire of Heiligenblut's church is famously framed by the Grossglockner, Austria's highest mountain.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Georg Janny's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 27 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 24×30 cm (9.4×11.8 in). A classic art piece for a mountain lover.

    I should have read the description more closely, but I thought this was a kit. Knowing I have to purchase all the necessary colored yarn is a deterrent from completing, and I really do not enjoy pre-stamped canvas pieces. It specifies on the package "easy to follow instructions; however, I can't find any. I did find a list of yarn colors. This piece requires 29 skeins. The description does include that \nno yarn is included so this is on me. I do love the design. The item was packaged appropriately and arrived very timely. Perhaps it will turn out beautifully.
