Stitch White Horse, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a white horse with a brown bridle looks out from a soft lilac and gold background.

A little stitcher's folklore: most 'white' horses are really greys, born dark and turning paler as they age.

Why this canvas: you choose the thread, so you can work it in tapestry wool for a traditional look or in cotton floss for a finer finish.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 19 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 18×24 cm (7.1×9.4 in). An elegant gift for a horse lover.

    Nice canvas

    Nice canvas. No yarn which has been difficult to obtain. Had to go to multiple sellers to obtain them all as there isn’t a local store where I live. It would have been much better to include the yarns .
