Stitch A Gloomy Day in Königssee, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a still mountain lake lies between tall pine trees beneath a misty snow-capped peak.

A little stitcher's folklore: electric boats cross the Königssee in Bavaria, and a trumpeter often plays to show off its famous echo.

Why this canvas: the full-colour print shows exactly where each shade goes, so there is no chart to count and you can simply relax and stitch.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 20 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 30×40 cm (11.8×15.7 in). A calm landscape for a living room.
