Stitch Four Seasons Spring, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — pink wild roses bloom among green leaves as two bumblebees buzz around them.

A little stitcher's folklore: a bumblebee's wings beat around 200 times a second, making its familiar buzz.

Why this canvas: it comes from Orchidea, the Polish needlework maker founded in 1985 and known for its classic tapestry designs.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 18 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 15×15 cm (5.9×5.9 in). A fresh spring piece for a garden lover.
