This Seg De Paris printed tapestry canvas depicts a classic French garden pavilion, or gloriette, set behind a stone staircase bordered by beds of pink, yellow, white, and red blooms. A pink-blossomed tree and a golden willow rise behind the green-roofed structure, while a stone urn planted with red flowers anchors the foreground, giving the composition a layered, formal-garden feel.

Why this canvas: the gazebo structure provides architectural detail that contrasts with the surrounding informal flower beds; the staircase leads the eye through the composition from foreground to pavilion, adding depth; the wide range of bloom colors gives stitchers plenty of shading variation within one design.

Canvas includes: a Zweigart 10ct cotton canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the complete Gloriette design for half cross stitch, along with a full DMC thread-color reference list spanning Mouliné, Colbert Wool, Retors Cotton, and Pearl Cotton. Thread, needle, and finishing materials are not included and must be purchased separately.

With the garden scene printed directly on the canvas as a guide, the stitcher works a single diagonal half-cross stitch over each printed square using the color shown, referring to the included DMC list to select the correct Mouliné, Colbert Wool, Retors Cotton, or Pearl Cotton shade. Working the pavilion and steps before the surrounding flower beds can help keep the architectural lines straight.

The finished canvas measures 45 x 60 cm (17.72 x 23.62 in), a picture-format size suited to framing for a garden room, hallway, or any space that calls for a formal French garden view.
