Canvas includes: genuine Zweigart 10ct cotton canvas (40 holes/10 cm) pre-printed with the full design for half cross stitch, along with a complete thread reference list spanning four DMC thread types — DMC Mouliné, DMC Colbert Wool, DMC Retors Cotton, and DMC Pearl Cotton. Thread, needle, and finishing materials are not included and must be purchased separately.

Because the windmill scene is already printed on the canvas as a color guide, the stitcher works a single diagonal half cross stitch over each printed square in the shade indicated, using the included DMC list to match the whitewashed buildings, the sails, the sea, and the geraniums.
