Two round felt ornaments worked in white and red: a white five-point star bordered in red with radiating red bugle-bead rays, and a scalloped white flower with a layered red felt center, both trimmed with beads, sequins, and hanging cords.

Why this kit: a white-led design that complements the red FN-114 set if you want to build a matching red-and-white collection; bugle beads and sequins add sparkle that catches the tree lights; all the felt, floss, beads, and filling come in the kit along with sewing instructions.

Kit includes: felt, cotton floss, Preciosa beads, sequins, a Pony needle, hollowfiber filling, and instructions. Each ornament measures about 11 cm (4.33 in) across. Made in Ukraine.

Following the instructions, the felt pieces are cut out, decorated with embroidery stitches, beads, and sequins, then joined with neat edge stitching and stuffed with the hollowfiber filling to give the finished piece its soft, rounded shape.

Well suited to stitchers who enjoy detailed hand-sewing, and a lovely handmade gift for anyone who collects Christmas ornaments.
