A standing Japanese kokeshi-style doll with a black felt bob and top bun, a beaded hairpin and pink flower, a cream face with rosy cheeks, a pink scarf, and a burgundy kimono embroidered with gold swirls and a black-and-gold folding fan; the sample is finished with a key ring.

Why this kit: fine details such as the beaded hair ornament and embroidered fan give the doll a boutique look; a compact 8x15 cm size that works as a bag charm, key ring, or shelf figure; all the felt, floss, beads, and filling come in the kit along with sewing instructions.

Kit includes: felt, cotton floss, Preciosa beads, a Pony needle, hollowfiber filling, and instructions. Finished size: 8x15 cm (3.15x5.91 in). Made in Ukraine.

Following the instructions, the felt pieces are cut out, decorated with embroidery stitches and beads, then joined with neat edge stitching and stuffed with the hollowfiber filling to give the finished piece its soft, rounded shape.
