Stitch Sparking the Stars, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a fluffy blue-grey bear with rosy cheeks paints pink stars across the sky with a brush and a little paint pot, while a rainbow shooting star streaks above. Worked in 25 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: wishing on a shooting star is one of the oldest wishes of all, and it's said every new star in the sky was painted by someone who believed in dreams. Stitchers say this bear paints one for every wish.

Why this kit: if you love sweet, magical designs, this star-painting bear is delightful for a nursery or child's room. A lovely baby gift and a pair with RTO's Skywatcher.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 25 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the bear's face and paintbrush, then fill the fluffy fur. Finish with the pink stars and the rainbow shooting star.

Finished size: 16.5×21 cm (6.5×8.27 in). A magical nursery picture to frame and a sweet handmade gift.
