Stitch Miracles Happen, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a brown bear and a white bunny on little stepladders blow golden horns beside a big glowing crescent moon, while stars hang on strings above a bowl of starlight. Worked in 29 colours of DMC stranded cotton on navy Aida, which forms the night sky.

A little stitcher's folklore: hanging the stars up for the night was said to be the job of the kindest animals in the forest. Stitchers say these two never miss a night.

Why this kit: if you love magical, story-book scenes, this bear and bunny are heart-warming and a joy to stitch, with the navy fabric doing the night sky. A lovely nursery or Christmas gift.

Kit includes: 14-count navy Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 29 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the white crescent moon, then the bear and bunny. Finish with the golden horns, the stars and the bowl of starlight.

Finished size: 23×29 cm (9.06×11.42 in). A magical night picture to frame and a heart-warming gift.
