Colored Zebra Rainbow Animal Paint by Numbers Kit by Ideyka KHO4269

Paint a zebra head in black and white stripes over vivid orange, yellow and blue swirls. Colored Zebra is a paint by numbers kit for adults by Ideyka, printed on a natural canvas that is already stretched over a wooden frame, so you can start painting the moment you open the box.

A little painter's folklore: wildlife artists say the eyes come first: get the sparkle in the eye right and the whole animal comes alive, so save those tiny highlight shapes for the very end.

Why this kit: if you want art for your own walls rather than a mass-made print, this is a real acrylic painting on canvas, signed by you, and nobody else will have one quite the same. With 24 colors it is a satisfying project for beginners and experienced painters alike.

In the box: a pre-printed natural canvas on a wooden stretcher with gallery-wrapped edges, 24 numbered acrylic paints, nylon art brushes, a color reference sheet with the numbered outline, a checklist and step-by-step instructions. Made in Ukraine. Not included: a cup of water, paper towels and a varnish if you want a glossy finish.

How to paint: begin with the background and finish with the small details and highlights, using the tip of the brush for tiny shapes. If an outline shows through, let the paint dry and add a second coat; keep pots closed and brushes rinsed between colors. When the paint is dry the canvas is ready to hang as it is, no frame needed; the colors of the finished painting may differ slightly from the photo.

Size: 50 x 50 cm (19.7 x 19.7 in). It looks right at home in a living room, an office or a den, and makes a thoughtful gift for an animal lover.
