A little stitcher's folklore: the iris is named after the Greek goddess of the rainbow, who carried messages between heaven and earth. Stitchers say this one brings good news.

Kit includes: 14-count white Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 11 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the yellow markings, then the violet petals from dark to light. Finish with the tall green leaves.
