An orange basketball with bold black curved seams fills this round pine board. It is a DIY string art kit: you set the nails, wind the thread and end up with a piece of wall or shelf decor you made yourself.

Basketball was invented in 1891 with a soccer ball and two peach baskets, and the orange ball with black seams is now an icon of the game. String art boomed as a home craft in the 1960s and 70s, when boards of nails and colored thread hung in living rooms everywhere; this kit brings the idea back in a cleaner, modern style.
