Two stuffed house ornaments: one with a burgundy roof embroidered with a wheat ear and a white wall with a purple four-petal window and pink flowers, the other with a mustard roof covered in red flowers and a blue window among folk blooms.
Why this kit: a stitched house is a traditional symbol of home, comfort, and prosperity; folk-style satin stitch and beads on a pre-printed design; the design is already printed on the fabric, so there is no chart to count or pattern to transfer.
Kit includes: 100% polyester fabric with the design pre-printed, 100% cotton embroidery floss, Preciosa beads, a Pony needle, hollowfiber filling, soutache cord, and instructions. Each piece measures about 10x13 cm (3.94x5.12 in). Made in Ukraine.
Because the design is printed on the fabric, there is no chart to count: the motifs are embroidered in satin stitch and decorative stitches with the cotton floss, the beads are sewn on, then the pieces are stitched together, stuffed with the hollowfiber filling, and trimmed with the soutache cord.

VDV Cross Stitch and Bead Embroidery Kits
VDV is a Ukrainian needlework brand that designs and packs its own kits. The range covers four crafts: counted cross stitch kits, bead embroidery kits, small stuffed embroidery ornaments, and felt sewing kits. Every kit comes with the materials needed to finish the piece, so you can open the box and start stitching.
Counted Cross Stitch Kits and Samplers
Most VDV cross stitch kits are stitched on 16 count cotton Aida, in white or natural linen color, with pre-sorted DMC cotton floss. Each kit includes a black-and-white printed chart with the backstitch shown in color, a digital copy of the pattern, and a needle. The best-known designs are the large cross stitch samplers, 30 to 38 cm (12 to 15 in) across, that gather small scenes into one picture: Autumn Comfort, The Journey, Greek Vacation, Lavender Paradise, and The Magic of Christmas. Alongside them are florals, woodland animals, folk horses, and winter and Christmas cross stitch designs. With up to 45 floss colors, these kits suit stitchers who already know the basics and want a project to frame and hang.
Bead Embroidery Kits
VDV bead embroidery kits are worked on satin fabric with the design printed in color, so there is no grid to count. Each kit includes Czech Preciosa glass beads, thread, and a needle. Subjects include poppies, violets, crocuses, lilies of the valley, a kingfisher, a dachshund puppy, a pomegranate, sailboats, and city lights at night. Sizes run from 15 x 15 cm (6 x 6 in) squares to 27 x 68 cm (11 x 27 in) panels. The free-form designs build raised, textured shapes with short runs of beads for a finished piece full of shine and depth.
DIY Ornament and Felt Sewing Kits
Most of the small kits make a set of two to six stuffed ornaments. Cross stitch ornament kits (geese, foxes, mice, Easter eggs, teddy bears) come with Aida, DMC floss, filling, and cord. Embroidery ornament kits with beads (mushrooms, pumpkins, acorns, mountain goats, Saint Nicholas) have the design printed on the fabric and are worked in satin stitch with Preciosa beads. Felt sewing kits make Christmas tree ornaments, Halloween bats, owls and witches, and felt dolls, with felt, floss, beads, filling, and instructions in the box (many kits add sequins too).
