Stitch Irises, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — blue irises and green leaves crowd a garden bed, with a single white iris among them.

A little stitcher's folklore: Van Gogh painted Irises in 1889 in the asylum garden at Saint-Rémy, in his first week there.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Vincent van Gogh's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 20 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 40×50 cm (15.7×19.7 in). A famous masterpiece to stitch for your wall.
