Stitch By the Riverside, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — children play by a stream beneath a willow in a sunny green meadow.

A little stitcher's folklore: Émile Claus was a Belgian painter whose sunlit style became known as luminism.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Émile Claus's artwork printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate the painting stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 29 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 30×40 cm (11.8×15.7 in). A sunny art piece for a living room.
