Stitch Summer Colours, a small counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a blue cottage with a bright red roof sits on a rocky, sunlit shore above calm turquoise water, under a lilac summer sky. Worked in 31 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 14-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a house by the sea was said to be blessed by the tides, which carried away troubles twice a day. Stitchers say this cottage has none left.

Why this kit: if you love the seaside and bright colour, this small picture is quick, cheerful and great for beginners. A lovely gift for beach lovers.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 31 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the red roof and blue walls, then the green trees and golden rocks. Finish with the turquoise water and the sky.

Finished size: 11×11 cm (4.33×4.33 in). A cheerful little seaside picture to frame and a quick handmade gift.
