Build a pink lotus, a mini building block flower kit by Wizardi: a layered pink lotus bloom rises on a tall green stem beside a small bud and a round lily pad, and tiny water plants decorate the white planter.

A little builder's folklore: the lotus rises clean and beautiful from muddy water, so it is a symbol of hope and fresh starts.

Why this kit: if you want a calm, meaningful little flower, this lotus is a lovely gift for a yoga lover or a new beginning.

In the box: ABS building bricks for the flower, stem, leaves, tiny garden details and the white planter, and an illustrated instruction booklet. Not included: glue or tools, because none are needed.

How to build and display: press the bricks together by hand following the numbered steps, starting with the planter and its little garden of pebbles and tiny flowers, then the stem, leaves and the bloom. Collect the series and line them up on a windowsill or shelf; they never need watering.

Size: about 8 x 8 x 15 cm (3 x 3 x 6 in). 136 pieces. A cheerful little desk gift, a party favour or a stocking stuffer, and a relaxing build you can finish in an evening. Recommended for ages 14 and up; small parts, keep away from young children.
