This Seg De Paris printed tapestry canvas depicts a red fox's head turned upward and partly framed by a tree trunk, its rust, cream, and grey fur rendered in fine detail among green ferns.

Why this canvas: the layered fur tones across the face and neck give stitchers plenty of shading practice within a single subject; the woodland tree-and-fern setting adds green textural contrast around the fox without overwhelming the focal point; as one of the largest canvases in the range, it offers a long-term project for stitchers who enjoy detailed wildlife portraits.

Canvas includes: premium Zweigart 10ct, 100% cotton canvas (40 holes/10 cm) worked in half cross stitch, with a full DMC thread reference list detailing every color needed across Mouliné, Colbert Wool, Retors Cotton, and Pearl Cotton thread ranges. Thread, needle, and finishing materials are not included and must be purchased separately.

Because the fox is already printed on the canvas as a color guide, the stitcher works a single diagonal half-cross stitch over each printed square in the shade shown, using the DMC list to move between the rust, cream, and grey tones of the fur and the greens of the ferns.

Canvas size: 75 x 90 cm (29.53 x 35.43 in). This large-format canvas suits a bold wall piece or bench cover for a country or woodland-themed room.
