DIY Crochet Kit Gnome Earthwhisper PAK364

Earthwhisper is an adorable gnome, inspired by the folk tales of little mystical creatures that inhabit the deep dense forests, helping Mother Nature throughout the seasons, with their magic and enchantments.

Like all gnomes, he has a long pointy hat that covers his eyes, a big rounded nose and a full bushy beard that brings out the cuteness of these little creatures.

It combines two techniques, knitting and crochet, making this little piece a good combination of these two crafts. The body is made in amigurumi technique and the hat features a large knitted cable at the front. To complete this magical little fellow, there is a fluffy pompom on the top of his pointy hat.

7 mm / US 10 1/2 Knitting Needles
3,5 mm / US E-4 Crochet Hook
Cable needle

You will also need:
Pillow stuffing
Hot or textile glue
Cardboard circle (with approximately 3,5 cm radius)
Felted ball (for the nose) - optional
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle

Measurements:
Height (from body to the pompom): 38 cm
Height (body): approximately 23 cm
Width (measured at the body): 7 cm

Gauge:

13 stitches and 15 rows for a tension swatch of 10 cm x 10 cm (4 in x 4 in) in BLO dc st, using 3,5 mm crochet hook.

10 stitches and 32 rows for a tension swatch of 10 cm x 10 cm (4 in x 4 in) in garter stitch, using 7 mm needles.

If your swatch is smaller or bigger, we recommend using another size crochet hook or another size knitting needles to avoid deviations.

Skill level: Intermediate - crocheters with a broad crochet experience, and with good ability to follow more intricate patterns.
