Nadezhda Mashtakova is an experienced designer of cross-stitch patterns – she has been working in this area since 2014 and has created over 300 designs using different techniques.

For her, cross-stitching stands apart from the multitude of hobbies existing in the modern world, such as scrapbooking, knitting, decoupage, sculpting, etc. For some reason, cross-stitching is often underrated and seen as a simple and unsophisticated activity. However, the amount of time and effort dedicated to the process, the importance of choosing the right color scheme, the emotions and feelings put into a cross-stitch piece are often overlooked.

When Mashtakova started exploring the world of cross-stitching, designer courses weren’t really popular, so her journey wasn’t easy. Each element, such as a cross-stitch, half cross-stitch, backstitch, French knot etc. was introduced into a chart based on her own experience, intuition and aesthetic sense. Nadezhda Mashtakova believes this is exactly what makes her designs stand out and contributes to her unique style.
