Stitch the "Gingerbread" heart with this Charivna Mit beadwork kit — a heart-shaped silhouette in warm bronze seed beads, with an ivory pearl flower rosette on one lobe and a diagonal row of blush pearls and pale glass cube beads crossing the other.

Why this kit: the felt pieces create a soft dimensional finish; the templates and stitch guide make the project approachable; the finished ornament or hoop art is easy to display or give as a handmade gift.

Kit includes: instruction chart, color pattern, Preciosa beads in 3 colors, Crystal Art beads in 3 colors (2 sizes), felt, a fastener, and a needle. Made in Ukraine.

Bead embroidery is worked by following the color scheme and stitching each bead onto the felt base in the indicated position and shade, building up texture and shine bead by bead; the finished piece is then mounted onto stiff cardboard backing for structure (cardboard, embroidery thread, and glue are purchased separately). Once complete, attach the brooch pin to wear or gift.

Finished size: 5.7x5 cm (2.24x1.97 in). A sweet, quick-to-stitch project and a handmade heart-shaped gift for a beadwork beginner or a Valentine's or anniversary surprise.
