Bead-embroider Owl with this Charivna Mit beadwork kit — a wide-eyed owl face in plum and silver tones, with large oval bead eyes and a teardrop cabochon forming the chest.

Why this kit: the felt pieces create a soft dimensional finish; the templates and stitch guide make the project approachable; the finished ornament or hoop art is easy to display or give as a handmade gift.

Kit includes: instruction chart, color pattern, Preciosa beads in 5 colors (4 sizes), Crystal Art beads in 2 colors (2 sizes), felt in 1 color, a fastener, and a needle. Made in Ukraine. Backing cardboard, beading thread, and glue for mounting are sold separately.

Bead embroidery is worked by following the color pattern and stitching each bead onto the backing in the indicated position and shade, building up texture and shine bead by bead. Once the beadwork is complete, mount it onto stiff backing cardboard (purchased separately) and attach the fastener to wear or gift.

Finished size: 4 x 5 cm (1.57 x 1.97 in). A quick beadwork project and a charming handmade gift for owl and bird enthusiasts.

    I love all the Crystal Art (Charivna Mit) kits I've received from Wizardi. I haven't received a kit yet that hasn't included everything that's needed to make the brooches. I find the instructions easy to follow as well.
