Bead-embroider "Sunflower" with this Charivna Mit beadwork kit — a star-burst flower silhouette with radiating orange and yellow bugle-bead petals, a black seed-bead center, peach and cream pearl accents, and a beaded tail hanging from one point.

Why this kit: the felt pieces create a soft dimensional finish; the templates and stitch guide make the project approachable; the finished ornament or hoop art is easy to display or give as a handmade gift.

Kit includes: instruction chart, color pattern, Preciosa beads in 10 colors (5 sizes), Crystal Art beads in 8 colors (8 sizes), felt, wire, a fastener, and a needle. Made in Ukraine.

Bead embroidery is worked by following the color scheme and stitching each bead onto the felt base in the indicated position and shade, building up texture and shine bead by bead; the wire forms the beaded tail extending from one petal, and the finished piece is mounted onto stiff cardboard backing for structure (cardboard, embroidery thread, and glue are purchased separately). Once complete, attach the brooch pin to wear or gift.

Finished size: 6x4.5 cm (2.36x1.77 in). A cheerful beadwork project and a handmade floral gift for a sunflower or garden-motif jewelry fan.
