Bead-embroider Shrimp with this Charivna Mit beadwork kit — a coral-and-gold shrimp silhouette curled into a comma shape, built from graduated coral beads, iridescent sequins, and a pearl-edged border, with curling gold-wire whiskers.

Why this kit: the felt pieces create a soft dimensional finish; the templates and stitch guide make the project approachable; the finished ornament or hoop art is easy to display or give as a handmade gift.

Kit includes: instruction chart, color pattern, Preciosa beads in 7 colors (3 sizes), Crystal Art beads in 3 colors (3 sizes), sequins, gimp, felt, fastener, and a needle (cardboard backing, beading thread, and glue are needed but sold separately). Made in Ukraine.

Bead embroidery is worked by following the color scheme and stitching each bead onto the felt base in the indicated position and shade, building up texture and shine bead by bead, then mounting the finished piece onto cardboard backing. Once complete, attach the brooch pin to wear or gift.

Finished size: 5.5x4.5 cm (2.17x1.77 in). A quick, unusual beadwork project and a fun handmade gift for a seafood lover or anyone who enjoys statement jewelry.

    I had some issues with the translation of the instructions and I changed a few of the bead placements, but it turned out so nice! Great kit!!
