Bead-embroider Black cat with this Charivna Mit beadwork kit — a wide-eyed sitting kitten built almost entirely from glossy black beads, with faceted yellow-green eyes, silver rhinestone ear accents, and a scattering of pearls across its chest and paws.

Why this canvas: the printed design gives stitchers a clear visual guide; the canvas-only format lets crafters choose their preferred thread palette; the finished project works well as decorative handmade wall art.

Kit includes: instruction chart, color pattern, Preciosa beads in 21 colors (13 sizes), floss, gimp, felt, a fastener, and needles. Made in Ukraine. Backing cardboard, beading thread, and glue for mounting are sold separately.

Half-stitch needlepoint is worked directly on the printed canvas, following the color areas and building the design with diagonal stitches until the full motif is covered.

Finished size: 4.5 x 5.5 cm (1.77 x 2.17 in). A quick beadwork project and a sweet handmade gift for cat lovers.

    This is a great kit with easy to understand instructions and quality components. And shipping was really fast! I can't wait to make this.\n\nNow that I've had a chance to make it, I am even more impressed by this kit. The number of beads supplied was very generous. I did have a bit of a problem with the goldwork thread ("gimp" ?) , but I think it was me. I didn't understand what the instructions were referring to, and then tried to add it at the end. I did such a poor job that I ended up replacing it with bead embroidered 15/0 charlottes. I also used 13/0 charlottes for the whiskers.\n\nI have a second kit (different pattern) that I will try to do better justice to. The instructions were actually very clear, and I look forward to the next kit.
